Current tip:
Hello Everyone, I hope you are doing great.
I will have to postpone part two of...
A Fun Filled Family Day on the Water.....Cabbage Key Bound... until next week..
This is fourth of July weekend and there is a lot going on :-)
Okay here we go :-)
We are in full Summer swing here. The afternoon thunderstorms are back and we welcome them. It certainly does cool everything down.
The fishing is still hot here, Tarpon fishing really hot. Captain Bill Hammond was out this week Tarpon fishing with some clients. They hooked a large Tarpon and fought it for hours, when the fish finally was worn out, they got it to the boat. Suddenly a 10 to 12 foot Bull shark came up and bit the Tarpon in half. Wholly Cow!!!!!!!. I would have loved to see that. Capt. Bill said is was one of the most exciting, amazing things he has ever seen. See the photo below.

There is going to be a band there called Trailer Choir, they are supposed to be really great. They made the front page of Gulf Coasting. They played at the CMT Music Awards last month.
This is really a great time for the whole family. My favorite part is sitting out in the boat on the River with several other boats rafted up to us and watching this amazing, spectacular fire works show. It is really neat laying on the deck of the boat with the ripples on the water rocking the boat ever so gently and watching these fire works blasting over top of you. Be sure to go to this link and it will give you all the details..

My favorite parts of the Fourth of July activities is to get back on to the boat and head out to the Gulf and anchor up and watch the spectacular fire works show be launched off the end of the pier. It is a really great show and you will love it, seeing it from your boat or from land. Be sure to check out the Island Sand Paper web site, (Get it, Island Sand Paper.. Get it??:-)..ha ha ha ) above and see all the different places you can go and enjoy.
If you have any questions contact.......

There is so much to do in our area. Whatever you decide to do, make it a great and safe time. Be sure to spend time with your family and friends. Make the best of it. Please be safe, there will be a lot of crazies on the water and on the roads.
Until next time, Happy Fourth of July!!!!!
